The dog days of the season are here. The fight for your playoff lives are in the heat of battle. I hope everybody is succeeding in their season. In my league, there is only 3 games of separation from 3rd and 8th. It's getting exciting for sure! Let's dig into the Week 10 Fantasy Perks.
Quarterback: Jared Goff (40.9% Rostered)
Coming off of their Bye Week, the Rams are hosting a Seattle defense that just gave up 400 yards through the air. The Rams have found their passing attack again this season, and that helps a Jared Goff resurgence. With all of his weapons on the outside healthy, I see Goff having a great day against the Seahawks. This game will turn into a shootout, and that will help your fantasy team by padding Goff's numbers.
Running Back: Kalen Ballage (0.3% Rostered)
The Chargers running back made his season debut for LA, and he had a great showing with 84 total yards and 2 Touchdowns in his return to action. This is a bit of a risky play, because the Chargers sent Ballage back to the Practice Squad on Monday, but if Justin Jackson and Troymaine Pope cannot go on Sunday against Miami, Ballage will be called back up again. This is another game that can turn into a shootout, and Ballage has the speed to break some short passes into long gains.
Wide Receiver: Rashard Higgins (15.5% Rostered)
Cleveland is coming back from their bye week, and they are going through a bit of a COVID outbreak. Baker Mayfield was placed on the Reserve/COVID list after being in close contact to a positive test, but he should be active for the game on Sunday against Houston. Higgins has had to step up in his past 2 games after the OBJ injury, and this is another week where his speed will be put on display against an iffy Houston secondary. Defenses will be homing in on Jarvis Landry, so Higgins will be going up against the team's 2nd or 3rd best DB.
Tight End: Anthony Firkser (1.6% Rostered)
Anthony Firkser had the second most targets on the team in Week 9 with 6 targets. He still fights with Jonnu Smith for targets in the Tight End room, but with Mycole Pruitt going down with a knee injury, that should open up some snaps for Firkser this week against the Colts. Firkser is a bigger body player, so he has more of a Red Zone style of play rather than an open field type of play, but the Titans will have to use all of their weapons against a stingy Colts defense.
Defense/Special Team: Denver Broncos (24.1% Rostered)
The Broncos have given up a ton of points this year, 30 or more in their last 3 games. On the flip side, the Broncos have forced a turnover in 4 straight games. Traveling to Las Vegas, they will have a Divisional battle where they will need this defense to step up to help keep their playoff hopes alive, and I believe the Raiders present a favorable matchup for a defensive standout type game.
Kicker: Cody Parkey (0.8% Rostered)
The Cleveland kicker will be relied upon in their game against Houston. He has missed only 1 Field Goal all season long, and that is the type of consistency you need on you fantasy team. The only downside to this that I see is he will be playing at home, and the weather might play a strong role in how the kicking game looks.
Homer Pick of the Week: Tyler Kroft (1% Rostered)
The Tight Ends for Buffalo have been disappointing this season, but when called upon, Tyler Kroft has stepped up to the plate. He has a catch in his last 4 games, and he caught his only target against the Seahawks for a touchdown. Traveling to Arizona, Kroft will be used in the Red Zone again, and I foresee another score for him. He has scored 3 touchdowns against NFC West opponents, and that trend will continue against the Cardinals.
