It seems as though there were a lot of "get right games" Week 10 in the NFL. There were a lot of games that were fantasy gold mines, and there were some guys that nobody has heard of making big pays out there. Let's dig into this Week 11 waiver wire, and get that roster finalized for the playoff push.
Teams on Bye: Denver Broncos and Los Angeles Rams
Quarterback: Cam Newton (Carolina) vs Washington Football Team (12.4% Rostered)
In a surprising turn of events, Cam Newton is back with the Carolina Panthers, and it looks like he never missed a beat. He looked like Cam of 5 years ago by running a ball in and throwing a touchdown in his limited time. I believe he will be the starter in Week 11, and going into a game against Ron Rivera and Washington, this game could be a sneaky shootout. Cam will have another good day, and with a healthy Christian McCaffery, he can have a big game in his return to starting.
Running Back: Eno Benjamin (Arizona) vs Seattle Seahawks (7% Rostered)
With Chase Edmunds sidelined with a sprained ankle, expect Benjamin to get a bigger role in the Cardinals high octane offense. Arizona looked lackluster against Carolina, but a division game seems to bring out a different fire for some teams. The Cardinals will try and get back on track against Seattle, and Benjamin will be used as the change of pace to James Connor.
Wide Receiver: Marcus Johnson (Tennessee) vs Houston Texans (0% Rostered)
I think this is the first time I have ever picked a guy who is on no teams in ESPN Fantasy, but his performance on Sunday will change that. With Julio Jones on IR now, the Titans turned to Johnson and he had 5 catches for 100 yards in the Titans game against the Saints. With a favorable matchup against the Texans next up, I can see Johnson having yet another big game for Tennessee.
Tight End: Adam Trautman (New Orleans) vs Philadelphia Eagles (2.6% Rostered)
Trautman is coming into his own of late, and that is even with terrible QB play. After the Saints bye week, Trautman has seen more targets consistently week after week. Eagles had a rough week against the Broncos Tight Ends, and that trouble could still continue with Trautman in Week 11.
Defense/Special Teams: Seattle Seahawks vs Arizona Cardinals (5.9% Rostered)
The Seahawks defense looked decent against the Packers until late in the game. Like I stated earlier, division games bring out a different kind of fire. Facing a possible third string QB (depending on the health of Kyler Murray), the Seattle secondary can have a big game against Arizona. Their run defense hasn't looked all that good, but I can see their secondary having a field day against backup QBs.
Kicker: Jake Elliott (Philadelphia) vs New Orleans Saints (1.7% Rostered)
The Eagles offense looked much better this week against Denver, and I think they are finally hitting on something. Coming back home, the Eagles will be looking to show this new found success for their home fans against the Saints. The beneficiary of points is the kicker. I think that Elliott will have a big game again, and the way the offense moves the ball will set him up to make some easy FGs and PATs.
Homer Pick of the Week: Matt Breida vs Indianapolis Colts (0.2% Rostered)
This is what I have been waiting for with Breida. He is a weapon in the passing game, and he needs to be utilized more in the wide running game. His speed is a difference maker for this Buffalo offense, and they will need all they can get against a strong ground team in the the Colts. I think we will start to see more of Breida in the Buffalo offense, and he might be the spark we needed as a fanbase.
