Week 12 Fantasy Perks
I'm back guys!! After a couple weeks off celebrating my wedding and honeymoon, I am back to help your guys fight your way into the playoffs. Let's dive right in.
I'm looking at Dwayne Haskins to have a breakout game against the Lions this week. He had his first 200 yard and 2 TD performance against the Jets last week, and the Lions aren't much better against the pass. In the game, he also hooked up with Terry McLaurin for a 67 yard bomb....that was called back due to a penalty. Seeing those two connect is great to see, and I think they will hit another big play this week.
It's always hard to hear about big time players getting injured, but it gives no name guys a chance to prove that they belong. With Marlon Mack of the Colts done for the season, the next man up is Jonathan Williams in the Colts backfield. He had 116 yards on only 13 carries last week after Mack went out. In this divisional match-up, the run game will be very important, and I see the Colts relying heavy on the run game.
Nelson Agholor is going to have a redemption game this week. After catching less that half of his targets last week, he is going up against a defense allowing the 5th most passing yards per game. If Alshon Jefferey continues to miss time, Agholor will continue to be the top target in the Eagles offense.
I don't normally pick the same player two weeks in a row, but I have to this week. When I saw this player on waivers this morning, I had to scoop him up immediately. Ryan Griffin is the new number 1 TE for the Jets, and he showed up last week. 5 catches, 109 yards and a touchdown against the Redskins lit up the fantasy scoreboard. The Jets are going up another weaker pass defense with Oakland, and I expect their offense to continue to roll.
The New York Giants Defense will be going up against a Chicago team going through some Quarterback controversy. Will Mitchell Trubisky get the start, or will Chase Daniel get the start? Either way, this is a favorable match-up for the Giants defense this week.
Ka'imi Fairbairn will see some action this week. The Texans going up against the Colts is a division game, and those are always tough. I see a lot more opportunity for Fairbairn to score this week.
For my Homer Pick of the Week, I'm looking at Stephen Haushcka to continue his turn around. He was the leading fantasy kicker last week, and with Buffalo going against a Broncos team that collapsed late against the Vikings, the offense has a chance to keep rolling. It could be a bad weather game, so we may not see any long field goals, but I believe the offense can score another 4 or 5 touchdowns.
