We're closing in on the midway point of our fantasy seasons! I hope these deep dives have been helping you out. With bye weeks in full swing and injuries still happening, I'm here to continue assisting you to fantasy glory!
Bye Weeks: Vikings, Dolphins, Colts, Ravens
Quarterback: Baker Mayfield
I know this doesn't seem like a deep dive, but he has been sitting on the waiver wire in my league for the past few weeks. I know he had a rough outing against the Steelers, but I believe this week he is due for a bounce back week against Cincy. I wouldn't be surprised to have a shootout on our hands here, and Baker will score points for you.
Side note with QB: Tua has been named the starter in Miami. Grab a flyer for him if you can. He would be a good starter down the line, I believe. His quick passing ability and the Dolphins athletic weapons will suit his style well. Miami is playing good ball right now, and I don't think it will fall off much with the swap at QB.
Running Back: Giovani Bernard
Gio Bernard has been a solid #2 running back in Cincy the past few seasons, and has been used sparingly this season with the explosion of Joe Mixon. Bernard scored his first touchdown on the season last week, and he is always a receiving option out of the backfield. Like I said, I'm expecting a shootout against the Browns, and Bernard will be a part of the passing game to assist in this.
Wide Receiver: Tim Patrick
Tim Patrick is exploding onto the scene with all the injuries in Denver. He scored in the two weeks before their bye, and had over 100 yards receiving this past Sunday. With Drew Lock back under center in Denver, the passing game should continue to get better. Battling against a solid KC team, Denver will need to be able to score points through the air to keep up with the high octane Chiefs.
Tight End: Jason Croom
We know this name very well! I'm happy to see him back on the field, and on Sunday, he scored a touchdown. Even though he was relegated back to the Practice Squad, I would be surprised if he ISN'T on the gameday roster. Ertz and Goedert are both on the IR, and the only other healthy tight end is Richard Rodgers. Philly loves to run 2 TE sets, and Croom adds the athleticism the Eagles offense needs.
Defense/Special Teams: Washington Football Team
Coming into Week 7, Washington is allowing the third fewest total yards per game. They have a favorable matchup this Sunday going up against the Cowboys and Andy Dalton. The Cowboys looked awful on Sunday night, and Washington has the horses to continue that feeling for them.
Kicker: Zane Gonzalez
This Arizona offense is on fire right now, and one of the beneficiaries of this is Zane Gonzalez. Arizona's offense is moving the ball down the field with ease, putting Gonzalez in great scoring opportunities. He will be kicking at home this week, which means he doesn't have to worry about any weather affecting his kicks. Another shootout looms here against Seattle.
Homer Pick of the Week: Dawson Knox
I know he hasn't been very good this year. Injuries have kept him out of a couple games already, and he missed Monday night's game against KC. I just have a feeling that if he is healthy and ready to go, he will be the difference maker in this offense against the Jets.
