It has been awhile since I have put my own money down on games, but ever since I was in Vegas a month ago for a work trip, I have been getting the itch. Thanks to Barstool and Marty Mush, I decided to get back in the game and hopefully find a new side hustle. Last Saturday treated me well. I did my research and felt that I would be successful throwing down on some double digit spreads. Here is my confirmation, just so you guys believe me.
On to this Saturday and I have been browsing the schedule. I got the numbers from my guy this afternoon and here are some of the match ups I am interested in.
Texas @ Baylor (-6.5)
Oregon (-14) @ Arizona State
Penn State @ Ohio St (-18.5) (O/U 57.5)
Oklahoma St (-5.5) @ West Virginia
Minnesota (-13.5) @ Northwestern
Texas is not back, and Baylor is able to put up points. After their first loss of the season last Saturday, I think the Bears will easily cover against the Longhorns. Herm Edwards definitely has the Sun Devils on the up and up, but Justin Herbert has been balling as of late, throwing for 7 touchdowns in his last two contests. If there is one thing the Ducks do, it is put up points.
Are there still any Ohio State doubters out there? If there are, they should tune in Saturday for the return of Chase Young. The best player in college football returns from his two game suspension and should cause havoc in the Penn State backfield. Like Herbert, Justin Fields has been putting up numbers to earn him a spot in New York City for the Heisman award. If there is one weakness with this Penn State football club, it is their secondary. Minnesota was able to expose it, and look for Ohio State to do the same, hence why I am taking the Buckeyes and the over.
The Cowboys from Oklahoma State are riding a 3 game win streak, and come into West Virginia with a record of 7-3. The Mountaineers on the other hand are sitting at 4-6. As long as Mike Gundy is rocking the mullet, how can you go against Pistol Pete and the Cowboys? Only thing that scares me about this one, is OSU has a match up with Oklahoma the following Saturday. No doubt in my mind some of these youngsters are already looking past WVU.
Minnesota went into Iowa last Saturday undefeated and walked out with an L. Another road game for PJ Fleck and his crew, and if they do not win by 21 I am going to be disappointed. Northwestern has 2 wins on the season, after their 45-6 win over UMass. Tanner Morgan was money two weeks ago against Penn State and I expect them boys to be rowing the boat again.
If there are any other college contests that you see out there, get at me and tell me why I should put money down on them!
